Questions and Answers
When do I need to book?
There are limited spaces at peak seasons, so the sooner the better. Also make sure you contact a photographer you like before you book your venue. It is very likely the photographer could already be booked. Most clients book Aaron Goodwin approximately a year in advance to get the date they want.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes you will need to pay a fixed deposit to secure your wedding date.
IMPORTANT: No pressure to decide what you want. You are only required to pay the fixed deposit and can decide at a later date how much you want to pay for your final package.
Why do I need a professional wedding photographer, they are so expensive?
The cost of photographers can vary a lot. You may ask yourself why? Well there are many reasons for this. If we break it down, the three most important reasons are quality, style and professionalism.
This is what separates a professional from an amateur. Of course the style of the work is the main focus. Most people who choose a professional will choose specifically on style and creativity. A professional will have extensive experience and will have spent many hours perfecting their art. Their experience will aid in the pressures and demands of the day in a calm and relaxed manner.
A professional knows how to get the best lighting and compositions out of an ordinary environment and can produce consistent results regardless of the weather and conditions.
A good photographer will have an efficient and organized time management regime.
Professional equipment will be used to capture those precious moments.
Do you really want to trust your uncle or friend with your precious memories. It may be cheaper to go with an amateur, but remember you only get one chance at capturing your special day.
Providing post production.
The cost of running a studio is expensive. As with any business you have general running costs, insurance, expensive equipment upgrades and materials.
Taking a beautiful photo is only half the process. A professional photographer will have all the facilities and post production equipment to give you a high quality product.
File management and backup are also key things to consider. Professionals have backup storage on and off site.

What Guarantee do we have?
If, for any reason, you are unsatisfied with my work, I will refund 100% of the final balance owing. I am passionate and serious about my work and would like my clients to be more than just satisfied.
How long do we have to wait for our photos after the wedding?
For most of our weddings the timeline for post processing is approximately 4 to 6 weeks depending on the season and workload. Please remember you are buying a finely crafted product and quality takes time.
How long will you stay with us on the wedding day?
Depending on your package, Aaron can cover the whole day and stay for most of the reception if required.
Can I present ideas and examples of photos I would like taken on our wedding shoot?
Yes. We will listen to all of your ideas and try to accommodate them. Although trying to copy some else’s work is not recommended from our point of view. Aaron will produce better creative results on the day with his spontaneity and the use of the environment and conditions given. It can be very hard to replicate a particular image, and it can also slow things down to try and perfect the desired result. This could possibly give you less variety of images and might not meet your expectations. Most people choose to use Aaron for his creativity, style and expect something new and unique.
What if we need to cancel the wedding, will we be refunded?
Because many clients are wanting to book for the same date a deposit needs to be secured. If there is any cancellation closer to the wedding the deposit will not be refunded. This is to cover the loss from other clients who would have booked instead of you. If you have a sudden change of mind with the booking within the first week, we will refund your deposit. If you have booked and you have to cancel closer to the date, the final amount owing will be fully refunded.

Why do large format prints cost so much?
How much would you pay for a fine piece of art in a gallery? This is the way photographers view their work.
On a technical note; Before each image is finally printed it requires extra work applied to the final file. Test strips, colour correction, contrast and toning are needed to get the best out of the final artwork.
There are many mounting and coating processes for different materials like canvas or art mounting.
When it comes to getting the best quality out of the final file, it is wise to get a professional to do it. The cost of mistakes at large print sizes can be expensive.

Do we need to feed our photographer?
If you require Aaron to cover your reception for more than an hour, you will need to feed him. He gets a little hungry after a full days work. Usually your reception venue can provide a simple meal if you organise it with them.
